Dear parents and students, |
開學至今已經過了8個月,距離暑假開始只剩下兩個半月的時間。復活節後,我們迎來了第一個大型活動——龍岡日,活動日期為四月三日。當天,我們在升旗禮並唱國歌後,邀請各位嘉賓上台參加謁祖禮。完成謁祖禮後,各位嘉賓致辭,今年我有幸代表辦學團體發表致謝詞。 |

在活動的表演環節中,中學、幼稚園和另一所小學都表演了不同風格的舞蹈,呈現了三種不同的感覺。此外,我們還安排了高年級學生進行英詩集誦,他們在十二月的比賽中表現出色。雖然他們在表演前有些緊張,但整體演出非常出眾。一些嘉賓也前來與我們分享,稱讚他們表演整齊有序,聲音響亮,讓大家都感到非常高興。

During the performance segment of the event, our secondary school, kindergarten, and another primary school performed dances of different styles, showcasing three distinct feelings. Additionally, we arranged for senior choral speaking team to recite English poem, as they had performed exceptionally well in a competition in December. Although they were a bit nervous before the performance, their overall presentation was outstanding. Some guests also came forward to share their praises, commending the students for their organized and lively performance, which brought joy to everyone.

在四月五日,學校舉行了一個有趣的水果日活動。不僅為每位同學準備了一份水果,還與衞生署合作,在有蓋操場上設置了不同的攤位。這樣一來,同學們在玩樂的同時可以認識各種水果,並參與運動活動。這個活動的目的是讓學生知道多喝水、多吃水果對身體的好處,並將學習與娛樂結合在一起。 |
On 5th April 2024, the school organized an exciting Fruit Day event. Not only were individual portions of fruit prepared for each student, but there was also collaboration with the Department of Health to set up different booths on the covered playground. This allowed students to have fun while learning about various fruits and participating in physical activities. The purpose of this event was to raise students' awareness of the benefits of drinking water and eating fruits for their health, while combining learning with entertainment.

四月十五日(一)是全民國家安全日,可惜當天正好是學校下學期的測驗日。不過,我們很幸運地邀請到鄭校監在下午來到學校,與全體老師分享了有關宋元朝新會崖門和中國航天之父馮如的事蹟。這場講座對於日後老師教授人文科提供了很好的準備。

On 15th April 2024, which is National Security Education Day, unfortunately, it coincided with the school's examination day for the second term. However, we were fortunate to invite our Supervisor, Mr. Cheng, to the school in the afternoon to share some Chinese History. This lecture provided excellent preparation for teachers to teach the new subject called Humanities in the future.

學校除了為同學舉辦不同類型的講座,也非常關注與家長的關係。教育局在2019年出版了家長教育課程架構(小學),旨在配合家長不斷變化的需求,讓他們掌握在不同階段培養子女所需的知識和技能。本校的特殊教育需要統籌主任鄭主任經常為家長舉辦各種講座和工作坊,以幫助家長了解如何協助子女成長和改善相處方法。

In addition to organizing various types of lectures for students, the school also places great emphasis on the relationship with parents. The Education Bureau published the Parent Education Curriculum Framework (Primary School) in 2019, aiming to meet the changing needs of parents and equip them with the knowledge and skills needed to nurture their children at different stages. Our Special Education Coordinator, Ms. Cheng, frequently holds lectures and workshops for parents to help them understand how to assist their children's growth and improve their interactions.

在四月十八日,我們舉行了一個有關如何協助子女學習的講座,家長們反應非常積極,表示這對他們十分有用。我們將繼續安排更多不同類型的活動給家長們,讓他們能夠感受到我們對他們的關愛,就像我們關愛他們的孩子一樣。 |
On 18th April 2024, we held a lecture on how to assist children in learning, and the parents responded very positively, expressing that it was very helpful to them. We will continue to arrange more diverse activities for parents, allowing them to feel our care for them, just as we care for their children.

四月二十日(六),學校參加了一年一度的英文科聯校活動S.T.E.P,今年由另一所小學負責組織,但我們的老師也參與其中一個活動的負責工作。早上,由英文科老師帶領著二十位四年級學生從學校出發。在第一個活動中,我們獲得了季軍的成績,同學們都非常投入。在最後的環節中,我們有機會與教育局(屯門)總發展主任韓女士和高級學校發展主任賴小姐拍照並交流。她們鼓勵我們繼續努力,並表示希望能有更多的合作機會。 |
On 20th April 2024, the school participated in the annual inter-school English subject event called S.T.E.P. This year, it was organized by another primary school, but our teachers also took part in the organization of one of the activities. In the morning, twenty P.4 students, led by English teachers, set off from the school. In the first activity, we achieved third place, and the students were very engaged. In the final segment, we had the opportunity to take photos and interact with Ms. Han, the Chief Development Officer of the Education Bureau (Tuen Mun), and Ms. Lai, the Senior School Development Officer. They encouraged us to continue working hard and expressed their hope for more opportunities for collaboration in the future.

四月二十七日(六)是一年一度家長教師會舉辦的親子旅行。在這個活動前的一星期,天氣一直下著大雨,讓大家擔心這次的活動是否會取消。然而,當天的天氣卻出奇地好,沒有下大雨,天氣陰涼,偶爾還有陽光照射。今年的目的地是大澳,行程安排不只限於一個地點。 |
On 24th April 2024, the annual parent-teacher association organized a parent-child trip. In the week leading up to the event, it had been raining heavily, causing concerns about whether the trip would be cancelled. Surprisingly, the weather on that day turned out to be great. There was no heavy rain, and the weather was cool with occasional glimpses of sunlight. This year, the destination was Tai O, and the itinerary included more than one location.

我們在學校集合後,先前往大嶼山塘福沙灘。雖然沒有人下水游泳,但一些家長和學生換上了鞋子,走到水邊,有些人在沙灘漫步,有些人在沙灘上畫畫或堆沙,還有一些人拍照。我們還加入了一個有獎遊戲,在Facebook上分享照片,可以得到一份小禮物——吹泡泡。大家都很努力地拍照和上載照片。 |
After gathering at the school, we first headed to Tong Fuk Beach on Lantau Island. Although no one went swimming, some parents and students put on their sandals and walked to the water's edge. Some strolled along the beach, while others drew or built sandcastles. There were also people taking photos. We even participated in a contest where we shared photos on Facebook for a chance to win a small prize - a bubble blower. Everyone made a great effort to take photos and upload them.

之後,我們轉移到大嶼山水口,尋找馬蹄蟹、蜆和小蟹等生物。大部分的學生都成功地找到了這些生物。在這裡,老師還發現了小型紅樹林的足跡,並邀請六年級的同學集合,進行了一次講解,讓他們應用他們在常識科學習到的知識。 |
After that, we moved to Shui Hau, Lantau Island, to search for creatures such as horseshoe crabs, clams, and small crabs. Most of the students successfully found these organisms. Here, the teachers also discovered traces of a small mangrove forest and invited the P.6 students to gather for a brief explanation, allowing them to apply the knowledge they had learned in General Studies.

到了中午,我們到一家酒家享用午餐。菜單上有蝦、魚餅、生炒骨、牛肉、雞肉等,非常適合小朋友。午餐後,大家可以自由地遊覽大澳,這個被譽為「香港威尼斯水鄉」的地方。我和一些老師四處逛逛,最後來到大澳文物酒店,可以眺望港珠澳大橋。雖然當天沒有太陽,但清爽的海風讓人感到心曠神怡,彷彿置身於海外度假勝地。 |
At noon, we went to a restaurant to enjoy our lunch. The menu included shrimp, fish cakes, stir-fried spareribs, beef, chicken, and other dishes that were suitable for children. After lunch, everyone had the freedom to explore Tai O, often referred to as the "Venice of Hong Kong." Some teachers and I wandered around, and eventually, we arrived at Tai O Heritage Hotel, where we could overlook the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge. Despite the lack of sunshine that day, the refreshing sea breeze made us feel relaxed and rejuvenated, as if we were in a resort overseas.

之後,我們到海邊的餐廳,一邊聊天,一邊欣賞大澳的風景,一邊享用美食,非常愜意。正如那句俗語所說,「偷得浮生半日閒!」接著,我們回到集合處,上了旅遊巴離開。在步行的途中,有位主任一邊擦著嘴,一邊說:「這裡的沙翁十分好吃,一定要試一試!」我也嚐了兩個,還有一些老師買了半打回家與家人分享。大澳還有其他特產,如蝦膏、蝦醬、咸魚、豆腐花等。你們能猜到老師買了多少嗎? |
Afterward, we went to a seaside restaurant where we chatted, enjoyed the scenery of Tai O, and indulged in delicious food. It was a truly pleasant experience. Just as the saying goes, "Seize the day and enjoy life!" Around 2:30 p.m., we returned to the meeting point and boarded the tour bus to leave. On the way, a colleague was wiping his mouth and saying, "The Chinese Doughnut here is incredibly tasty. You must try it!" I had two of them myself, and some teachers bought half a dozen to share with their families at home. Tai O is also known for other specialties such as shrimp paste, shrimp sauce, salted fish, tofu pudding, and more.

親子旅行結束後,大家都感到依依不捨,並期待下一年能再次安排特別的旅程。這次的旅行活動能夠成功舉辦,離不開家長教師會的準備和成員的安排。家校合作是學校發展的重要環節之一,透過這樣的活動,家長和老師能夠更緊密地合作,為學生提供更好的學習環境和體驗。 |
After the end of the family trip, everyone felt reluctant to part ways and looked forward to arranging another special journey next year. The success of this travel activity would not have been possible without the preparation and organization by the Parent-Teacher Association. The collaboration between home and school is an essential aspect of school development. Through such activities, parents and teachers can work closely together to provide students with a better learning environment and experiences.

感謝家長教師會的付出和努力,讓這次的親子旅行成為一個難忘的回憶。這樣的活動不僅豐富了學生的學習和生活經驗,也促進了家長和老師之間的溝通和互動。希望未來能有更多這樣的機會,讓家長、學生和老師共同參與,共同成長。 |
We are grateful for the dedication and efforts of the Parent-Teacher Association, which made this family trip a memorable experience. Such activities not only enrich students' learning and life experiences but also foster communication and interaction between parents and teachers. We hope to have more opportunities like this in the future, where parents, students, and teachers can participate and grow together.
